Here’s the conclusion before we even start : Desperation doesn’t work! Either in marriage or in sales!
You might be conditioned to believe that by pushing a little more, the client will convert. In fact, it’s the other way around. The more you push, the more your customer will go away.
What’s the solution to be ‘anti-desperate’?
1) Build a sales pipeline! Don’t depend on a few clients. Work hard to generate as many leads as possible. Once you have many prospects with you, internally you will become more confident! This in turn will make more customers want to work with you!
2) Get clients by showcasing massive value which they can’t resist. If you haven’t created enough value in the mind of the customer, he/she will always bargain on price, timeline etc. You have to believe that you are a world class company offering world class products. If you honestly don’t believe in that, it will be impossible for you to make your customers believe that!
So the next time the client is saying ‘no’, don’t push the client. If you have created enough value, walk away with your head held high!
Quoting a famous bollywood dialogue – If the customer turns back, then he is yours. If he doesn’t, then he was never your customer in the first place!
